Healthy Buildings International Pty Ltd (HBI) provides indoor air and water quality inspection and monitoring services. Our aims are to assist Clients to be proactive thus avoiding or reducing complaints from building occupants and to diagnose problems or perceived problems for those Clients who, through circumstance, are compelled to be reactive.

Established in Sydney in 1987 and majority Australian owned, HBI provides a range of consulting services to most of Australia's leading property owners and managers.

Our client list includes Local, State and Federal Governments, Life Insurance Companies, Banks, Universities, Real Estate Companies, Licensed Clubs and other large Commercial and Industrial concerns across the continent.

HBI also provides services from our Sydney base to Clients in New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia and Thailand.

HBI provides expert advice and when unavoidable, testimony to assist Clients avoid potentially damaging litigation.

A major feature of HBI's services is its independence from organisations which supply product, installation, maintenance or cleaning services. This allows Clients to objectively assess environmental conditions within their properties free from any added pressure to purchase some "extra" service.

HBI in Australia is autonomous but retains regular contact with other companies in the HBI Group. This gives HBI Australia ready access to the very latest developments in technology from America, UK and Europe.

Healthy Buildings International is a Member of the International Society for the Built Environment (ISBE), the Property Council of Australia (formerly BOMA), and Standards Australia and provides technical advisory services to these organisations.

Our staff come from a range of disciplines, principally Engineering and Science, and our policy is to only out-source analytical work to National Association of Testing Authorities Australia (NATA) registered laboratories or their equivalent outside Australia.

Since its inception, HBI has maintained up-to-date business insurance policies through the AMP Society or its subsidiaries, including Superannuation, Public Liability, State and Extra Territorial Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle.
