Every week it is estimated that over 20 tradesmen die from Asbestos related diseases and there are increasing concerns for young tradesmen who are ignorant of the dangers or who ignore the procedures.

 

Although Asbestos is no longer legally permitted for use, it is still present in many buildings which were either built or refurbished before the year 2000.

 

Asbestos is a naturally occurring fibrous material that has been a popular building material since the 1950s. It has been used as an insulator, and was popular because of its excellent fire protection and anti-corrosive properties – however it kills!
